On the road

I took off today from Oshkosh, Wis., to Lac Le Belle, Mich., for the first part of my epic annual ski trip.

It started five years ago when my buddy Derek heard about this place offering a one-day season pass sale with trail side cabins and back country skiing.

Thus the tradition to Mt. Bohemia was born.

It’s hard living what with five straight days of busting your hump cutting through trees but it’s a blast and last year numbers were down, I only hit two trees.

This year we got a total of at least 14 people who will be meeting up there to mog the pow (ski or board through powder — white, fluffy, soft, ideal snow).

It’s also a time where I get to hang out with some pretty cool people, talk Kurt Vonnegut, med school, soccer and the like. There will also be some seriously competitive Simpsons trivia. As well as some of the finest beers ever brewed on tap from Keweenaw Brewing Company.

But it’s hard to put into words that’s why I found this totally awesome video, trust me that’s how people act up there.
