I know this is a day late, but for the value, it’s not a dollar short.
“America in Primetime” is a PBS documentary on the best shows created since the invention of television.
It will air for the next three Sundays.
From Don Draper to Dexter, this show looks at the small screen characters that some of us come to identify ourselves with.
TV now can be consumed throughout the course of a weekend with Netflix instant stream. But this documentary, in part, looks to identify and expose the bond Jane Everyman connects with characters like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Development of characters in movies is often now overlooked in part to CGI, etc…
But on TV it can take three or four years to really get to know the Hank Moody behind the tumbler.
Take a look for yourself.
