Wait, what?
That’s right Arlo Guthrie did not write the “City of New Orleans,” in fact it was Steve Goodman.
Goodman a two-time Grammy from the Windy City was a mentor for John Prine, who I know at least one potential reader greatly enjoys.
He also got himself through college by singing advertising jingles.
Pretty cool story for a guy from Morton Groove, Ill.
